This week Year 1 have been putting their direction skills to the test by using Beebot app. Developing their use of directions before starting programming a sequence in one go. They have used the arrows to move the characters around each level. Grasping the difference between ‘turn left’ and ‘go left’ is tricky business! All the children have shown true resilience and a great enthusiasm for coding.
This week Year One have been remembering some very special people. We created handprint poppies, painted blooms and collaged petals to create wreaths of commemoration. The garlands were used in our special memorial assembly. We also collaborated in designing a larger wreath to be presented at The Cross of Sacrifice in Layton Cemetery on Remembrance Sunday.
