A child starting school for the very first time can be daunting and it is perfectly normal to feel apprehensive and have lots of questions.  We will do our very best to help you, the exciting journey to school life starts here!

What happens next and what do we need from you?

Ahead of your child starting with us please click the link below to complete the admission form.

You will also need to send a screenshot or photo of your child’s birth certificate to this email address: [email protected]  If you cannot find your child’s birth certificate then our Family Engagement Team can help, please contact the school office for more information.

 Should you be experiencing difficulties completing the Admission Form please call into the school office to collect a form (and we can also photocopy your child’s birth certificate) or contact us to request a paper copy to be sent out to you.

Foundation Induction Event 2024

We will be holding an induction meeting for parents/carers only, which take place on:

Wednesday 12th June 2024 at 6pm.

This event will provide you with lots of advice, information and a chance to meet Class Teachers and Senior Leadership here at Layton Primary. 

This event is aimed at adults and is not suitable for children.  There are several entrances to our school, please note: the only entrance for this event is at Lynwood Avenue.  To confirm your attendance, please click the link below before Friday 24th May 2024 to book your place.
