Phonics

  • 90% of pupils are working at the expected standard in Phonics at Y1. This is higher than the national average of 81%.
  • 93% of pupils are working at the expected standard in Phonics at Y2. This is just above national average of 92%

 

Key Stage 1 Data

  • The most recent data shows that 77..8% of pupils are working at the expected standard for Reading. This is 4.3% higher than the national average. 31.1% of students achieve greater depth within the expected standard in reading. This is 5.9% more than the national average.
  • 73.3% of students achieve the expected standard in writing. This is 5.1% higher than the national average. 12.2% of students achieve greater depth within the expected standard in writing. This is 3.4% lower than the national average.
  • 74.4% of students achieve the expected standard in maths. This is 0.7% less than the national average. 20.0% of students achieve greater depth within the expected standard in maths. This is 0.5% lower than the national average.

 

Key Stage 2 data

  • 82.7% of pupils achieve the expected standard in reading. This is 6.7% more than the core subject average, 11.3% more than the national reading average and 21.7% more than the national core average. 8.0% of pupils achieve a high scaled score in reading. This is 12.0% higher than the core subject average, 3.5% more than the national reading average and 19.4% higher than the national core average.
  • 86.7% of pupils achieve at the expected standard in writing (Teacher Assessment). This is 10.7% more than the core subject average, 10.4% more than the national writing average and 25.7% higher than the national core average. 22.7% of pupils achieve greater depth within the expected standard in writing (TA). This is 6.7% more than the core subject average, 5.0% more than the national writing average and 14.1% more than the national core average.
  • 97.3% of pupils achieve the expected standard in maths. This is 21.3% more than the core subject average, 22.5% higher than the national maths average and 36.3% higher than the national core average. 49.3% of pupils achieve or surpass higher standard in maths. This is 33.3% higher than the core subject average, 26.7% higher than the national maths average and 40.7% higher than the national core average.
  • 93.3% of pupils achieve the expected standard in EGPS. This is 17.3% higher than the core subject average, 16.4% more than the national EGPS average and 32.3% higher than the national core average. 56.0% of pupils achieve the higher standard in EGPS. This is 40.0% higher than the core subject average, 25.1% higher than the national EGPS average and 47.4% higher than the national core average.
  • At Layton Primary School 76.0% of students achieve the expected standard in reading, writing (Teacher Assessment) and maths. This is 15.0% more than the national average.
