Oh! Do you like to like to be beside the seaside?

Year one were horrified to learn just how much plastic we consume on a daily basis and how much of it turns up as micro plastics in the sea. Plastic shopping bags, plastic straws and water bottles all produce plastic pollution. We are discovering what steps can be taken to reduce this pollution, we aim to reuse, reduce and recycle!
Sticking with our seaside topic, we took an historical trip to Victorian Blackpool, to enjoy the fresh air and fun of yesteryear. Highlights on offer to the visitors were an amusement park on South Beach founded in 1896 by Messers Outhwaite and Bean, can you name this internationally famous fairground? Or how about the monument that ‘towers’ above all others in the town centre, who’s foundation stone was laid on the 25th September 1891?
