In addition to the religious celebrations and significance of the holiday, there are also some secular traditions. These include the Easter Egg Hunt, where folklore suggests that the Easter bunny hides eggs for children to find each year.
Pace-Egging is an old Lancashire custom, once widespread and is still to be found in parts of the county today.
In local parks the crowds still gather today to watch the old traditional egg-rolling contest down the grassy slopes.
Here at After School Club, we decorated egg templates with our own unique designs. We hope you have enjoyed our display in the Lunch Lounge.
Happy Easter to you all, see you after the holidays 🌞
