This week we have hosted our first ever ‘Eco Day’ at Layton raising important awareness for how to protect our planet and be more eco-conscious. We have experience a fun-filled day with plenty of opportunities to get our hands dirty whilst enjoying exciting, eco-based fun. Trying and tasting a variety of different vegetables was lots of fun, some we liked and some we didn’t. We designed our own vegetable patch and thought how we could protect the vegetables as they grow by designing a scarecrow.
Using vegetables for a different purpose we created potato paintings.
The children were encouraged to wear something nature-themed and as usual they didn’t disappoint. We have raised lots of money that will be used to create a new vegetable patch for our school.
Have a super bonfire night, stay safe and we will see you all on Monday for another fun filled week.
